Your demographic information is important to us. We want to make sure that your patients with Cigna coverage can find you, that we can pay you without delay, and that we can contact you in a timely manner.

Important Information To Keep Updated

Mailing address — we use this to notify you about contract changes, re-credentialing, and network and business updates. This information can only be sent to one mailing address.
"Pay to" address — we use this to mail your claim payments. You can have multiple "pay to" addresses for claim payments.
Service location address — we use this to accurately list your location information in the Cigna provider directory for participants. We need your complete address and phone number (we are unable to list a PO Box).
Email address — we use this because our practitioner communications to you are primarily sent electronically. Your email address is vital to ensure you receive the latest news and updates.

How to Update Your Information

You may update your information online, by phone or by fax:

  • Online: Visit our website CignaforHCP.com (log into your provider account and fill out the Update Provider Information form under "Working With Cigna" tab). If you are not a registered user for our website, please visit CignaforHCP.com and click on "Register Now."
  • Phone: Call our Provider Service Center at 1.800.926.2273.
  • Fax: To make updates that include a change to your Tax Identification Number or payment address, please fax a copy of your W-9 form to 860.687.7257.

Important Reminders

  • CAQH system does not have a direct feed into the Cigna Behavioral Health system; therefore we rely on you to contact us to update your demographic information.
  • When requesting updates please specify which address types need to be changed.
  • Please do not send address updates with your claim forms.
  • To ensure your claim payments are not delayed, please verify that the billing address you have on file with us matches the mailing address on your claim forms.
  • To ensure there is no interruption in your contracting status if you move to a new state, please contact us at least 30 days in advance of the move.
