Optimizing total health for your patients.

Cigna offers specialty condition counseling to help support and guide your patients and improve their health outcomes. For those with complex conditions who take a specialty medication dispensed by Accredo, we offer specialty medication and condition counseling through Accredo's Therapeutic Resource Centers. Those taking a specialty medication not dispensed by Accredo will receive this important counseling from Cigna specialty condition counseling.

Our proprietary Therapeutic Resource Centers focus on patients' needs. Specialty-trained nurses and pharmacists follow detailed therapy management protocols to assist with the regimen you prescribe. Specifically, Therapeutic Resource Centers do the following:

  • Support the relationship between you and your patient and the plan of care with open lines of communication.
  • Educate on medication administration and side-effect management, considering the patient's baseline knowledge of therapy.

Build in consultation time to our care model, including regular outreach and follow-up discussions to address new or worsening symptoms, medication side effects, and other issues that could affect health and adherence.
