How to Join the Network

Health care professionals interested in joining the Cigna Behavioral Health network can follow a few simple steps, which begin with submitting a screening form. We also use the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) and other state-mandated applications that most health care professionals are familiar with as part of our credentialing and recredentialing process.

How It Works

1. Submit and complete the screening form available on the Cigna for Health Care Professionals website. Within 10 days of receiving the screening form, we will make a decision about whether the health care professional is approved to continue the credentialing process.
2. If approved, the health care professional is asked to complete the CAQH credentialing application at CAQH.org.
3. If additional information is needed, we will contact the applicant to request what is needed.

The credentialing process takes approximately 45 days following our receipt of your completed materials.

Important Steps for Applicants to Remember

• Review CAQH profile to ensure it is current and attest to the accuracy of the profile. This will help prevent delays in processing the application.
• Ensure the application has been released to Cigna Behavioral Health.
